Probably best to stick to broadcom nics and dongles as things got a little more user friendly with them.

I don’t think Cisco AM10 is compatible with Linux operating system. Several functions may not work.
Perhaps after Ubuntu is up and running it will be possible to switch to Mint version and thereupon to utilize the wifi as “swap” function. Someone has surely solved this incompatibility issue, or else can attest that is is unresolvable.
